Who are they? some not most, the ones who live in the immediate cauldron are clearly not burning anything. I think we all accept that there are people from outside that community who are doing all the pointless looting and crime and again I think we all agree they should all be punished. so don't tar them all with the same brush because that would play right into parties like the BNP and alike and that is unacceptable.
A lot of it is this "I want it & I want it now" culture that has developed. These kids think they're entitled to the latest phones, games, etc. There is virtually no respect for law & order - or respect for others, and their property. "If I can't afford to buy it, I'll just take yours, or steal it" seems to be the idea.

You can quote stats all you like and I won't necessarily disagree with them but I think you mentioned single parent after the comment 'I blame the parents' because its predomitabley a black community.
