I'm being told to grow up by a moron who thinks that youths looting, rioting and destroying people's lives are merely venting their anger at police "Hey let's steal a telly and burn down the local shop, ruining the shopkeepers livelihood, that'll really teach the police".
I would imagine the people whose homes are in danger of being or burnt or robbed are not rioting and people are generalising and including the innocent among the bad which is what always happens. Like you I hope the culprits all get caught and jailed but you generalised earlier about single parents and it is wrong to assume too much without the facts.
Whether you have a legitimate grievance, or not; and the vast majority of this Rent-A-Mob, don't. There is absolutely no excuse for the sort of things we are seeing happening, at the moment. The vast majority of this rabble are just opportunistic scum.
I agree. I genuinely do. But we should look at the poverty all these people in these areas are having to live with anyway. I heard the local libraries/youth centres have all been shut down recently.

Agreed. There may be grievances beneath it for some but in the main people both influential and otherwise have rejected order and development programmes in favour of self before right and wrong. This is the product. As for government, police or media... too much self in there too - and too little cohesion to plan ahead. Nevermind. It'll no doubt work out in the wash - do tears clean streets and rebuild lives?
