I've never wore a hardhat .... nobody is ever above me . Haven't used felt and tar paper for decades , suffered many burns in the eighties with hot tar and don't miss it . Burnt my foot one time when the tar spilled in my boot and had a blister on my foot the size of a grape fruit . Threw in the towel and concentrated on shingling ever since .
