Was reading Fergie's book in which he says dealing with Levy was the most exhausting experience he has had with a transfer when they wanted Berbatov. When Levy found out United wanted him, Levy offered him to City for less. United had to offer more than they originally wanted if they were having him.

Did you also read the bit about his team talk whenever United were playing Spurs?

Apparently, he'd just walk into the dressing room smiling, shrug, and say "It's Spurs"

I know that the usual wum-spects try their tiny-todger best to wind us up over this kind of thing, but they really ought to save their breath.

Long gone are the days that Levy lets any decent player go for anything other than the kind of money that is going to help rebuilt the club. Look at the wummery we had to suffer when Bale was sold as the World's most expensive player. Sure, we suffered, briefly, during the transition period, but only the most dire of wumsters can deny that we are a better all-round team now, than we where then.

If Poch needs Dire, we'll keep him, that's the all and end of it. If Poch does not need Dire, Levy will screw one of the big foreign clubs until their pips squeak. That's the way it works, at the Lane, these days.
