Nah, keep Gallagher where he is, we can't recall him anyways.

We get into the right positions to make crosses etc, players are not delivering when we know that they can.

    I just dont get that.
We are 9th in the league. Still in the cups. Did you really think after the schedule we've had that we'd be better off than this? If you did, you need to take a better look at the squad. We have no goalscorers.

I actually enjoyed that game more than most of ours this season. Not sure why. Stoke barely attacked in the second half so Puel should probably have been a bit more adventurous with his subs but I'm not going to be too critical. We made the chances to win the game but didn't take them. If someone offers us anything like decent money for Rodriguez or Long in January I'd be tempted to take it and re-invest.

Boufal is getting up towards van Dijk in terms of our best players.

    Right.
    13/14: £29m profit
    14/15: £12m profit
15/16: Not been released yet but I'm sure it will be a growth profit in profits.

£41m plus whatever profit we made last season. Not sure where that profit has gone but it is time to spend it on the first team squad. Plus all the revenue from this season new television rights!!
Not saying all in January, but we need a CM that contributes going forward and 1/2 strikers depending on what we do with Jay and Sam Gallagher.

Yeah - ****e. We're 9th - and I reckon we're on about the same number of points as this time last season.
Agree - we need to score goals, but how many times do you see a team down to 10 men defend completely and refuse to be broken down? How would you have felt if Puel had pulled off Martina gone 3 at the back and we'd shipped a goal? You wouldn't have been praising his attacking nous then would you?
Can't see any Prem strikers for sale at a reasonable price so I hope we're looking abroad. Whatever happens though - get off the back of the team, the manager and the board. We can't buy a Messi, so we have to trust they know what they're doing.

Some of you are far too harsh on Puel. We are basically playing with no strikers in our first team squad. So the squad is going to be hamstrung. When we get a striker or two in Jan I will start judging Puel properly.

Decent enough performance, overall. Stoke were obviously going to go into their shell after the early red, and if our strikers weren't a pack of useless donkeys, we'd be laughing.

Or I'm wrong, and we're clearly the worst team to have ever played football.

I totally agree with this. It was an enjoyable performance to watch. Yeah we didn't win but breaking down a ten man wall is one of the trickiest things in football. We played some nice stuff and Boufal is a joy to watch. We were inches away from a totally different mood on here.
Bournemouth away next. Difficult game but I fancy us.

Don't play with a number 9. Play Boufal, Tadic and Sims as a front 3 with them constantly rotating positions. Long, Redmond and Rodriguez should not be in the starting line up. Just try something completely different.

I think that's what those who are angry are angry about. Well, that and the dull pass-it-about-in-front-of-the-opposition style of play.

So the world's shortest attacking three, none of which are strikers or consistent goalscorers.

    Genius...

Ye he had a worldie saving at least 7 or 8 shots as we peppered their goal, as they clung on for 70 minutes plus with 10 men.

To those who say we're 9th, everything is fine - we're 6 points off 17th. The table means jack **** at the moment to teams that are below 6th.

Opportunity missed, but important to put a little run together. A draw away at Stoke isn't the worst result....can live with that.
