No Aarons had terrific ability and huge potential. You could say injuries held him back but then is he looking after himself? Is that the reason he has got injured so much? Kieron Dyer was constantly on the piss. I believe it contributed to his injury problems. Andy Carroll also. I don't think you can afford to abuse your body with the demands of the modern game. I have no idea if this is Aarons problem though. He has certainly not delivered as expected though. If anything he has regressed. There is no doubt that he had huge potential. Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool all had a close look and were waiting to see if he took the next step. He never has and it now is beginning to become an issue. I have to say I thought Aarons looked far more naturally gifted than Perez. Each to their own though.
Hmm, so did Perez. Who wanted Aarons after being released? Who wanted Perez before we did? Also Vuckic had 'promise'. That is all Aarons has, promise. Regardless of how he lives his life he has not lived up to it. So far! Perez on the other hand has done far more for this club! Perez is only 18 months older as well!
Aarons has just had no luck with injuries. In my opinion it's not really fair to criticise someone for that. It's not their fault; it's just happened. There is still a chance for him but he needs better luck and rapid progress.
There is an argument to say although it is not directly his fault that he may not be looking after himself and that the injuries are directly linked. Of course we don't know but if he is not looking after his health then it's possible that it's because of this that he is picking up injuries etc.
please log in to view this image You want this at left back? I'm all for diversity but ****ing hell mate there is a line.
But if he wasn't on fire you would? Tell me more about your watersports fantasies Pouchy...... You.... a paddling pool...... bottles of Bollinger and Pards in a mankini?
Gouffran has turned around my thinking completely. Rafa has him playing well week in week out. He reminds me of a Lovenkrankds type of surprise package this season. Hope he stays as he will be useful in the PL as a squad player.
