Ha no way, I meant mentally. The in stadium bookies were offering 7:2 odds on jay to score. Laugh? Why, I soiled myself.

 

We must get a petition set up and demand the game be replayed. I remember it happening to Pompey at Leicester the same day Chelsea "scored" a goal that didn't go in - hit the side netting and came back out. Technology has sorted that problem at least. Now if we can find the technological solution to Jay not scoring we'll win the league.

 

Pele was a good striker.

Still wish we had Pelle though....especially in the absence of Austin.

Except we did replace him. With Austin.

 

We needed another striker in the first place, that's why we signed Austin, and he was available. If anything, the gamble on JRod was Pelle's replacement in real-terms of players in/out.

 

For me the thing is that just one goal here and there could have had us 7th and still in Europe.
We thought that Shane, JRod, Nathan and some others would have chipped in occasionally and that hasn't happened enough, so we'll need to hit the market.
That's football <Gallic Shrug>

 

Pelle scored 5 goals in 13 appearances in China. Admittedly, you really can't compare PL teams with those in the China league but I bet he'd have played a few times this season, even as a sub and would have netted a handful of goals. Mind you, I may have my Graziano tinted glasses on...
