Not much to report from the presser, it seems Mick was a bit irked by all the attention Snodgrass got on Saturday and has spoken to the player and there's no injuries, so the squad will be the same as Saturdays.
Can you make your dives a bit better Snoddy ? Surely he won't have told him to stay on his feet in the area
We'll have to sit back because they'll have the ball. The question is whether we can get the ball out and keep hold of it when we do get it. If Snodgrass ends up chasing scraps and playing with his back to goal it'll be as Steve Bruce would say "One of those horrible days". It's difficult to pull this 3-5-2 off without 2 proper strikers, especially away from home. Good point. We go on about formations and stuff but we just have to stop conceding soft goals. If we concede from a corner or a cross into the box every week we've got no chance. The one thing we should be able to do with this squad is defend balls into the box.
Reminds me of the Mike Smith classic. In the programme notes he declared " We have been making things hard for ourselves by giving away early goals. That is going to top starting now". Forward to next hom game ndvhevrites " It was an uphill struggle last week against Blackpool after going behind after 5 minutes". Other gems from Mike Smith, " We were alright in the first three quarters of the pitch but the last third let us down." "We found ourselves a goal down following an error by the pitch...'
I'd like to see just one change from the Saturday team .. Jak has to play .. it's gonna be his type of game .. we'll be under the cosh at times and for me he is the better shop stopper.. time to take Marshall out of the firing line I'm afraid
Ladies of the night who frequented the White Hart Lane area of north London in the 1900's were often referred to as Totty's.............hence the nickname for a certain type of lady.
No, he's a past-it attacking midfielder. If he played for Spurs rather than Roma he'd have been ours by now...
