Yeah, when I watched him he looked a good player. But haven't a clue how he is now.

In fairness I imagine they would have all left in the same manner Rickie did if we were as willing to let them go as we were with Rickie Lambert.
Difference is if we denied Lambert his move, I doubt he wouldve kick up a fuss.

 

Funnily, SRL wasn't perfect. He tried to blame the board for players leaving and was surprised we gave Lallana and "on strike" Lovren stick. He left well, no doubt, but not perfect.

Yeah I was saying the same. Leave him at Blackburn were he will get game time and hopefully carrying on how he is. Here he will be a bit part player.

Sunderland have announced that they will not be releasing funds in January for bringing players in as they are in negotiations for a take over by surprise, surprise a Chinese syndicate ........ a chilling statement bearing in mind where we are at the moment.
Having said that what about their CB Konte? No doubt their players will be now very unsettled and expecting relegation so might be available as their owners look to get as much cash out of the club as they can.

 

Yes, thought exactly same. Kat seems a very conservative owner & I can't see her doing much unless critical. Supports the more likely loan route although I can't see much forward line quality being available.

 

It depends what we have planned for the summer transfer window. We are now out of the Europa and not in any real danger of relegation (having approx. half the points we need in early December). Fans want every season to be biggerer and betterer than the last, but running a business can be more long term. Unless a player we truly want is available, I see a loan as the most likely option.

 

I Still think we will sign Haller.
