My Brother is an officer- was on annual leave but has been called in tonight. Hope he smashes a few of them up.
I don't get it... Some people who live in the affected areas have lost their homes, whilst other people have had their employment affected through burnt out retail premises. Surely what ever the difficulties of the area, this is not going to help people who live in those communities, you've just added to the misery. This is just completely damaging the infrastructure of the area, anything from the buses that are damaged and burnt out, used by elderly people to get about and some people who are less fortunate to be able to have their own vehicle, through to the damage of emergency service vehicles that may be required to save someone's life. How's it going to help the area if local businesses have to shut up shop. Hopefully when these people are brought to justice, we will be able to establish whether they were suffering genuine hardships and grievances or whether they were just pure home grown thugs, of the social system today.
trouble is brb when these thugs are brought to justice the courts dont give out stiff enough sentences
What hardship like they have not got a 50" LCD TV? Blue, if they had a genuine hardship they wouldn't be ransacking shops, would they? Actions speak louder than words! THEY ARE LOOTERS!
its insane, apparently woolwich has been battered, bexleyheath and erith are targets as well. i doubt very much i will be going into work tomorrow!!! network railis closing its stations!
Yeah, everything happens their quite often, it's mostly always in the news, it's either someone gets shot/stabbed, killed etc. It's not a nice place, I don't see the fun in causing riots and smashing things up, it's all pointless.
i know mate, thats why i said they dont get stiff enough penalties,i am down to a 3 day week at the moment and feel pissed off but i aint going out looting,i was brought up to have respect these thugs have none
They've barely been brought up... some of them look about 12... but this is wrecking so many people's lives and endangering just as many. The use of fire is just unforgivable. I hate to sound vigilante, but the police need the authority to use force to regain control, they are protecting the 99.9% of folk who are trying to get by.
The police are hopelessly stretched, I can't see them allowing any games to go ahead. Who would want to be out at night with this going on?
Im stuck down here after a massive asthma attake over the weekend i really need to get back up North this is scary ****. And staying in Thamesmead im just waiting for the police helecopters now. As for the scum doing this i just wish the police can stop there ****ing benifts they sponge of this country.
Just what would possess anyone to do that? That's people's homes, their entire lives in those flats. I'll be staggered if no-one dies from this tonight.
