Have you actually seen the Phil Neville interview or just read the headline and got all outraged like many others? It is nothing like what Gary said, he gave his opinion on how in his words, "a young keeper at a massive club like Liverpool who has made a couple of mistakes" would be best dealing with critics.
Have you actually seen me to see how "outraged" I am? My advice to them would have been the same long before this happened.
Did Phil Neville read what Ian Ladyman, the man who was actually interviewing him said about the quotes?
Because he accused him of shouting his mouth off about pundits, when the guy who actually heard him speaking said he did nothing of the sort. Even Alan Shearer and Mark Chapman basically told Neville he was being a ****ing idiot and just mindlessly defending his brother. No point him being a pundit if he gets emotional and lets personal relationships cloud his views and opinions of certain players.
Did you actually watch it? it was very light hearted and contained some humour (you should know what that is). There have been some very emotional reactions to it though
Maybe not fuming but it wasn't light hearted either.. not until they took the piss out of him at the end anyway
Not sure he was talking to Karius, I had the impression he was passing an opinion on how young players should react to adversity. Karius may have been sat just off camera though, who knows.
That's true, he made a fair comment and Shearer took the piss about defending his brother which brought a nice end to the piece.
Just saw Phil Neville's #meltdown on MOTD He needs to check his sources before he embarrasses himself
My view on this whole thing is that Gary Neville basically said what most Liverpool fans and neutrals had been thinking about Karius, Carragher basically said the same as well. Klopp has had a little bit of a tantrum about it (whilst knowing I'm sure that having a little dig at an ex-Utd player will go down well with fans even if everyone actually agrees with Neville). And Phil had a hissy fit that is quite funny to watch. Such a bad pundit. Just leave football already
If he'd had a single bad word for Mourinho or Pogba about their performances this season then maybe Gary would still have some credibility
Tbh I think Neville is generally a very good pundit. He shows a level of insight into the game that most other pundits don't have, but he is definitely guilty on occasion of being bias towards Utd and against the teams who rivalled them over the years he was a player. That said I have heard him slating Utd.
