Cech is 34, that's not particularly old for a keeper. Van der Sar was at the top of his game until 41, Buffon is 38 and remains one of the best in the world. If he goes to Arsenal, he could very well be sat on the bench for the next 5 years. I'd think City, Liverpool, United (if they lose de Gea), or Spurs (if they lose Lloris) would be best for him. Putting it like that is a bit worrying, that's four top clubs who could, very realistically, all be looking at him come summer. We will do well to hold onto him.
I heard today that Pickford is going to Man City, Mignolet is coming back here and joe hart is going to Liverpool Not sure if January or July though
Maybe not today but they could be building something big... Who knows? I'm sure Lukaku wants to win trophies too.
Mignolet to Sunderland makes no sense, he's not even half as good as Mannone. He's by far the worst goalkeeper in this league who is not called Claudio.
True, Cech has time left in the game for sure, but he has had a more challenging injury history. His career may not extend as long, but i hope it does for him. Van der Sar had very little to limit his career, injury-wise. I also said Arsenal as a club as they tend to keep and look after younger players, not just the Cech thing. I wouldn't say that about City, nor Utd under Mourinho. Spurs, yeah under Pochettino. Obviously if De Gea and or Lloris leave their respective positions that changes things, as would Cech leaving Arsenal.
I reckon we will have both Kone and Pickford gone in January and if rumours about Mannone are right, he is pissed off at the way Sunderland have treat him after he came back from injury (apparently Villa want him) with that in mind I'd be happy to have MIg' back, he was great for us first time round, hence the reason a very club came in for him..
Thought you were sharper than that! Just as well you can sing as you ain't no comic. Boom-Boom ssshhhh.
