the rotherham game was not a real test you had 66 per cent of the game and there goalie produced to world class saves if that strike bt washington had gone in i think we would have romped them 3-1
Aunts and Uncles. The sad thing is we are not even being unlucky. Our goalie is keeping the score down.
The Rotherham game was just a nasty figment of all our imagination's Ted, we really are Barcelona in disguise...
Our salvation - Mackie is back and hungry for action! U23S: QPR 2, WATFORD 1 Jamie Mackie: I'm as hungry as ever please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Jamie Mackie returns in Under-23s victory ... JAMIE Mackie made his long-awaited return from injury on Monday to help QPR Under-23s to back-to-back victories. Mackie, one of four senior players involved alongside Matt Ingram, Ariel Borysiuk and Nasser El Khayati, enjoyed just over an hour at Harlington as Rangers came from behind to beat Watford. Ogo Obi’s opener inside 70 seconds handed the Hornets a dream start, but they weren’t in front for long. Paul Hall’s side soon equalised through Olamide Shodipo, while trialist Tyrell Robinson’s 20th-minute strike proved the winner. Rangers made the worst possible start, falling behind after 61 seconds. After the Rangers backline failed to deal with a long ball, Obi pounced before lifting the ball over the onrushing Ingram. Rangers soon responded, though, and were only denied an equaliser by the woodwork. El Khayati made space before rifling a shot which came crashing back off the crossbar. They didn’t have to wait long, though, as they found a leveller seconds later. The ball broke to Shodipo 18 yards out, who curled the ball delightfully into the far, bottom corner. And Rangers were in front from their next meaningful attack. Ebere Eze’s corner reached Robinson at the far post, who drilled his shot beyond Andrew Thomas in the Hornets goal. In a frantic first half, chances continued to fall at both ends. Watford should have levelled midway through but Michael Folivi missed the target after bursting clear, while the woodwork denied Rangers for a second time when Eze skipped through only to see his shot strike the post. Watford created two more chances before the break. Obi dragged the first wide, before the same player was denied by Ingram who clawed away the striker’s next effort from point-blank range. It was Rangers who started the second half on top, though, and twice came close to stretching their lead inside the opening 10 minutes. First Mackie was inches away from guiding a shot into the far corner, while the same player combined well with Eze in the box only for Thomas to block the eventual effort. Watford were less of a threat during the second period, although Ingram had to be alert to repel Dion Perriera’s stinging 20-yard effort on the hour-mark. There were more bookings than chances thereafter – Rangers ending with five to Watford’s four – but El Khayati came close to adding gloss to the scoreline two minutes from time. After tricking his way into the box, the midfielder’s shot whistled just wide but Rangers held out at the other end for all three points. QPR: Ingram, Kakay, Williams, Borysiuk (Manning 60), Paul, Hamalainen, Shodipo (Clarke 60), El Khayati, Mackie (Crichlow 67), Eze, Robinson. Sub (not used): Herdman.
