Time for a seasonal update as to how things have been going. Man of the week Aug 2012: Kirsten Nematandani, South Africa FA president and Fifa Fair Play and Social Responsibility executive, hosts a two-day Interpol “Integrity in Sport” workshop - attacking match-fixing as “a cancer that robs the game of its innocence. This is a wonderful chance to learn more about this threat.” Dec 2016: Nematandani banned for five years for match-fixing.” Quote of the week Brazil FA head Marco Polo Del Nero – telling Chapecoense to fulfil their final league game. Acting club president Ivan Tozzo: “I told him we don’t have 11 players left. He said: ‘Yes you do, reserves, injured players. Use them, make up the rest with kids.’” Other news: strongest line Chelsea – warning fans off “abhorrent” racist abuse. “Such behaviour has no place in our stadium or society. Chelsea is proud of our diversity and our vision embraces equality … If we receive evidence of discriminatory behaviour of any type we will take the strongest action, including criminal prosecution.” 2012:“Chelsea appreciates, and supports, John’s full apology for the language used.” Bolivia’s FA: reshaped last year to deliver transparency after former president Carlos Chávez was remanded on organised crime charges. The new FA board’s progress since then: a) secretary Walter Torrico remanded on fraud charges; b)new president Rolando López put under house arrest for alleged forgery. All deny wrongdoing. Paraguay, 19 Nov: Olimpia president Marco Trovato bars journalist John Walter Ferrari from all club premises for suggesting he plans to sack coach Fernando Jubero. “The media seek to destabilise us with lies! Olimpia is strong, we go forward together.” 20 Nov: Jubero sacked after another defeat; Ferrari watches training by standing on a pick-up truck to look over the wall. Plus: worst bobble Serbia: Lokomotiv’s Milan Djuricic, asked about going viral with an open-goal miss from 50cm. “It bobbled and I was excited, so I kicked it over. What a lesson for my life.” Kicking it out Spain: Castilla-La Mancha’s FA, assessing whether a player who called a black CD Bargas opponent a “**** monkey” was being racist: “The phrase is, in the literal sense, unrelated to racism or xenophobia … Therefore it cannot be classed as intended to disparage or demean a particular ethnic group.” Bargas – who allege the insult came with “accompanying monkey gestures” - plan to appeal. Best UKIP moment Argentina: Velez Sarsfield president Raúl Gamez denying he punched FA vice-president Jorge Medin in a row over TV cash while shouting “I’ll break your head, you don’t **** with Velez”: “Yes I barged into his office, I was emotional - but it was just a debate. Let’s move on.” Plus: most maligned Argentina: Atlético Patronato defender Jonathan Ferrari, upset over claims he hosted an “excessive orgy” for team-mates on his balcony, with police breaking it up at 6am. “It’s lies. People look at my past and think I’m still the same. Sure, the police shouted at us - but they didn’t come in.” Most relaxed Roma coach Luciano Spalletti, headbutting his press conference desk four times after being asked about the atmosphere. “Who sent you? Tell me who sent you. Why are you here? What do you mean? You want to ask the same old stuff? Mamma mia. Incredible scenes.”
2012: Trevor Sebbfold's campaign manager's choreographic adviser said: I would never condone corruption or match fixing and I despise those who use such abhorrent methods of seeking success. They bring shame on our beautiful game and deserve whatever punishment the authorities throw at them." December 2016: Trevor Sebbfold's campaign manager's choreographic adviser is jailed for 20 years after being found guilty of over 35 counts of cheating his way to victory in the headline game. He is also ordered to pay £1milion compensation to Obi Wan to cover the cost of therapy due to bullying, persecution and public taunting, and for causing eating disorders.

If you look at that post it is clearly a fake. Mbemba You're A Womble hadn't even been born in October, and that post was written by someone else. If you look at who wrote it then the clues are obvious - it was wriiten ' More in Hope' than expectation. This is a curse of modern society. So many fake news stories on the internet being reposted and shared by gullible lunatics who don't even bother fact checking. I blame people like you for Brexit, the rise of Trump and ultimately the end of the world as we know it. When we all get nuked in world war 3, don't come running to me!!
