Been scouting him for a year, but we also scouted Dier when he was at Lisbon for about that time. Wish we were scouting the rb Semedo of Benfica, now he is brilliant.

Really don't see him going in January. If he wanted out last summer but is still here, then what's changed? As others have said, whatever may be happening off the field he's still a professional on it, and is acting like one; he's an important part of our squad, why would we let him go mid season?

I just think him being benched for the Euro games smacks of him not being cup-tied. Feels like there's a deal/agreement already there and he's been lining up his excuses for the fans early via social media.

All that has changed is that it will disrupt our season more and it will be harder for us to source a replacement. Would not be good business in my opinion.

 

Puel was just asked about the possibility of signing a striker in january.

He basically said we have other good strikers that we need tof have confidence in. We shall see how they do up until the end of the year and assess the situation in January.

 

I'm fully aware that its chances being created that's the problem, but I would like to see Sam G back here. He has picked up some good experience, and I reckon he could well slot in. Don't think he will because of the loan agreement, but I'd rather see him trying with us than some desperate loanee.

 

I'm sure that's just to protect the already dented confidence of JRod and Long. Oh and Henry of course.
