What makes the perfect jumped up excuse of a Sunday roast. The one people eat on Dec 25th?

    Anyone not have turkey?

    Honking sprouts. Parsnips (yum yum)?

What about ham or cranberry sauce.

Is xmas pud still a must?

Only time of the year we have turkey, like a bit of gobble gobble now and again :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Love the sprouts and all the trimmings that go with it as well.

Also got a good wife who thoroughly enjoys cooking the dinner up as well.

Don't have xmas pud though, we go for a nice roulade or however you spell it.

I'd rather have a full English breakfast myself.

I love my Christmas dinner and this year we are thinking of having Lamb rather than Turkey...Either way I will not get mine until about 8pm as I'm at work on a 12 hour day shift..

I prefer the sandwich that i have the next day from the leftovers. A hot turkey and/or beef, stuffing and pigs in blanket sandwich with gravy and a side portion of roast potatoes.

Turkey & Rib of Beef, youngest daughters cooking as she does a grand job, all the trimmings, 9 of us, family all together love it, just love it can't wait.
PS not bothered about the presents, just having the grandkids and family around is enough for me.

Depends. Usually we get my sister & her bloke over.
If that happens we'll have a turkey crown with all the veg.
Last year they didn't as his brother had split up with his lass & didn't 'want to be alone.'
Soft ****ing twat. It's the one day a year I get out for a pint with my brother in law.
Plus, my mam was in hospital so there was just me & the bairn.
I think we shared a frozen pizza.

32 today. 34 tomorrow. Think the rest of the week it drops down in the 20's.

Should be a few 40+ days this summer.

Depends who's making it, if it's me I'll probably do beef and chicken and **** the Turkey off, but if my mum's doing Xmas, then it's the works. I'm **** at it, but will do it if necessary, such as this year... ffs.

My mum does Turkey, 3 types of stuffing, roasties, load of veg, inc sprouts with bacon and chestnuts... ****ing loads of (and I don't mean 5 or 6 I mean at least 12) pigs in blankets, well done. Then a honey roast ham joint... buenos. The best bit is eating the bacon off the top of the turkey, crispy streaky, nom nom, food stiffy.

If anybody brought a Christmas pudding into my house, they'd be thrown out into the street wearing it on their face.
