I would love to take the piss out of pool but kettle pot etc. What I would say is that our defence and their attack in the same team would be in with a real chance of winning the title. Sadly for both we are both lacking on one end of the pitch
But couldn't we argue that your solid defence is only that good because you attack so minimally and focus more on defending? And similarly for Liverpool, if they changed tactics to tighten up they'd offer less going forward.
There is truth to that, but if our 4 defenders played for Pool they would improve, and with Coutinho and, possibly, Mane we'd improve.
I think Mane's traditional collapse in form may have arrived just before he jets off to Acon. Perhaps he'll return as the confused headless chicken he can so often become
I'm still looking at our league position with a smile. Every season has its low point it's taking minimum damage at that time that's key. There are problems to sort out but we've done well so far and are still in it. Chelsea looking very strong though, they need a blip.
Why are people comparing Lorius Karius to David De Gea, the latter was 20 years old when he joined us, the former is 24.
He wasn't as bad as Karius has been though. The comparison holds no water for me, as Karius just doesn't look any good! He could find his feet and prove me wrong, but I'd have money on him not doing, based on what I've seen so far.
It's a worry as everyone is on his back and unless he's a very strong character he's going to get worse. From my point of view as a Liverpool fan I just hope he can take all the flak and come out fighting and prove himself, it's not looking good though.
Our low point last season was losing 1-0 against you followed by 0-0 draws against Man City and Bournemouth.
