ALLIED. 6/10 was expecting more but slightly underwhelmed. Marion Cottilard is just as classy as ever though. Put on Apocaylpto, such a great film. Easily Gibson's finest work.
Watched 3rd Grand Tour last night. Don't know if I'll bother with 4th. It's too over scripted and fake. Yes it always was on top gear too, but it was at least attempting to disguise it then. First episode showed a little promise but 2 and 3 have been rubbish.
Saw the last episode of Westworld last night. Intriguing stuff about the old debate about reality and consciousness. Very intelligent, even if the plotline around Dolores seemed improbably convoluted. And Thandie Newton stark, full frontal naked was ****able in the extreme. She is fit for someone in their mid forties, eh? Talking of beauty though, watching Planet earth II, and is there a more gorgeous creature than the leopard, even if it's only viewed through a thermal camera? Little piglet didn't think so though.
Edit: the dog got all brave again and barked at the leopard (shape), just like he did the other week with the lions. he's like those puppies watching the telly in 101 Dalmations. He was fascinated watching the hyenas being fed.
Just watched episode four (environmental "challenge") of The Grand Tour. Although very childish at times, I thought it was brilliant, very funny
Thandi Newton is ****ing red hot. I'd shoot so hard inside her she'd have to keep her mouth open to stop it blowing the top of her head off
I know it was all scripted on top gear too... But it all just seems so over rehearsed and static this year on GT. They either need better writing or more impromptu ad lib content.
Its just completely childish and just completely staged like the great train ride episode where they set the caravan on fire etc. Its just comedy. I hope many many vegans were outraged. A dead bat as a parking sensor
I honestly think the difference between TG and GT with this trio is that on TG the situation was staged but I think the wording wasn't rehearsed. On GT it all looks over rehearsed and their reactions don't seem genuine, it's like memorised words. James May especially feels like a bad actor rather than a presenter. "The American" is even worse. It's almost like he's reading from a teleprompter.
Who cares that it's scripted? Is there anything on tele that isn't? Even reality TV is scripted when it comes to presenting it. People watch all kinds of tv that's scripted.
Their annoyance with each other and the situation isn't amusing when it's poorly acted and doesn't seem genuine. They used to pull it off pretty well, and I suspect the situations used to be scripted but the specific words weren't. Now its obvious the specific words are memorised ahead of each bit.
