It seemed to me that Clattenburg (a diehard kopite tbf) saw the red card offence right before his eyes but decided to give a yellow. Can't quite understand it
The yellow was for the elbow (was actually a tussle for position and v yellow was right). Thought you were talking about the "punch" though?
Yep but he didn't see the punch so expect Mane to be out. If there's a level playing field at the PL ofcourse

It looked intentional to me So you reckon he lashed out at Carroll and coincidentally elbowed Cresswell by mistake ?
He and Cresswell were tussling. His arm went high but no chance it was an intentional elbow. The "punch" was intentional and very stupid. I'd be surprised if he doesn't get punished. If he does, thats basically him missing until the end of January; he'll be ****ing off to the ACON in the new year.
I'll be honest with you, having Mane and Coutinho out for you is a big plus (not wishing a player an injury but you know what I mean).
