Thankfully Lovren is injured - I know it's horrible to say but it's for the best. Didn't see the whole game but yet again, individual mistakes costing us. The wall and Karius'a positioning for the FK was pathetic and Matip should be doing better for the second. Firmino is useless out wide - bring him back in the middle and leave Origi out wide. We've lost out fluidity and balance - badly need Coutinho in the attack and we need to sign at least 2 new players in January.
5 points dropped from winning positions. Not good enough. Should be 9 clear of 5th place and 1 behind Chelsea.
100% this. Even though defending and particularly keeping is our problem, we'd have been 3 or 4 up by the time they scored had Coutinho been on the pitch
I hope everyone realises now that stopping me posting the next thread pregame.this has jinxed lfc. We are totally screwed now.
Sturridge is gone. He has already moved out of Liverpool and is renting so he has no commitment to the area. We need another striker in January as Origi is still learning and Sturridge, even if hr stays until summer is just not interested. If we could get Pulisic in January that would improve things. We could also do with trying for Van Dyk but suspect he will stay at Saints until summer.
Will have to watch again, saw a replay and looked like they didn't jump. Karius positioning is poor - got to be saving that.
This. The title was always going to be a stretch but too 4 should be the short term objective, and we should be getting it.
The most frustrating thing is that the opposition don't have to work for their goals. It's so easy - West Ham had around 10 touches in our box all game (Maybe even less)! I read somewhere that Bournemouth scored 3 goals last week in under 20 passes combined.
Karius. 1. wall organisation was poor. the moment I saw it I knew he ****ed it. 2. he stood too far to his side. 3. lovern ****ed it by allowing westham to get in wall. 4. Karius didn't have a strong hand... poor.
Good point - but still, it's no good digging out the hard points and then chucking 'em away again in the easier games.
