Was it him in the white shirt who accompanies sponsors onto the pitch before the start for the customary teamgroup photo with the captains?
If so, sad to see him angrily rip that protest flag out of the hands of one of the sponsors.

Are there many businesses who treat sponsors like naughty kids?
Well done Allams once again on dividing the club and creating bad feeling.

Was it a sponsor or a mascot family member? Either way, yes it was bad form by the club rep, but well done to whoever it was with the banner, exactly the sort of poke-in-your-eyes protest we need.

Plenty of Allam arse-lickers will be out of a job soon.
The new owners (when it happens) I'm sure will clear the decks of the traitors and yes men.

Whilst I loathe the idea of making (virtually) anyone unemployed, I can't help but feel the way some have behaved draws enough to contempt to suggest it.

Yes, this is exactly the type of protest which catches the media eye......assembling at 1230 on a roundabout near HRH less so.
I would have thought paying £500 or whatever it costs, entitles you to bring your flag onto the pitch.
Don't like it? Refund the £500 then.

Not sure we have many yes men or even no men left anymore. Just min wagers and starry eyed kids who want PL kudos on their cvs.
New regime needs to get some heart or ID back in the club, and get us out this zombie like state.
    Hire AP as a consultant?

It was him. What a ****.
Talk of a banning order for the two lads who did it.

Massive respect to the banner holder(s). Brilliant.

More of this sort of thing.

Just asked the question on the match day thread. I am disappointed if it is John Hawley. If we all do it they will have to ban all of us. That'll look good <laugh>

Can we ensure several hundred copies of this banner enter the ground on boxing day?

John is mates with the sponsor, I think he was a bit pissed he'd decided to protest on his watch. I'm sure he'll get over it.

He expected to get thrown out.

Can't be a banning order, there was no criminal act, they could only ban him from the KCOM and that seems unlikely.

If the banner isn't returned, isn't that theft?

    Wouldn't be the first time.
I hope the HDM and Co don't start making a big deal about it. Let it go. He made his protest and he paid a lot of money ( as he often has) to get on the pitch to do it. It's not as though he's ran onto the pitch during the game or anything, as if he would !
If this had of happened at Liverpool it would have been all over the papers as typical scouse wit.

Or if at Newcastle, it would have been 'passionate Geordie fan in football hotbed'....

I would have hoped the HDM made a massive deal of it. No doubt they would have it had been FC involved, reams of stuff about banter, the passion for rugby in Hull, fanatical supporters. However it is only the best supported team in Hull which brings the city more publicity due to its being in the Premier League than anything else, so don't expect too much.
