Try as hard as I may to understand my football club I have finally come to the sad conclusion that they haven't got a bloody clue in football management, never have and never will. Tweets make tw*ts out of twits. You heard it here.

Now you are basing your point on a hypothetical of 'if we still had arguably our best player from last season'. Which again is nonsense.

As for your 'our expenditure is the least of all those clubs' comment. Are you huffing? I can only assume you were high when you wrote that. Brighton spent approximately 4.4 million in the latest transfer window!! We spent over 11 million!! That's just one example by the way. And a proven point of their manager doing more with a lot less.

You can't base your argument on LJ for what he is hypothetically building. Brendan Rodgers was supposedly building at Liverpool. How did that work out? Football is all about the present, no one, not one single manager has ever kept his job in the modern game based on what he might produce 2 or 3 years from now. If that was the case Cotterill would still be here.

I'm not LJ bashing, but you are getting on your knees and unzipping his trousers because he won a handful of games last season. On what planet 18th is mid table safety? We finished 3 points off 4th from bottom. That's not progression.

You're misquoting me to suit your argument seeing you missed out the 'net' in your quote. So what's the point in continuing this, if you are going to make things up. And what point are you making in your first sentence? If anything I'm agreeing with you that if we did have Kodjia then we would have reasons to complain about our recent form. And as for his hand fall of games, if he had the same ratio over a full season we would be flirting with the play offs, and I will see your Brendan Rogers and raise you Alex Ferguson. Also resulting to smut just to make a point? I thought you would be above that sort of thing? Clearly mistaken so I'm not going to bother anymore

Point one is incorrect, point two is correct by the odd season, point three in the last thirty years is highly debatable and I feel it is BCFC that have spent more time in higher divisions .... Point four has Huddersfields owner put in similar sums of money into the club to as Mr Lansdown? I ask because I do not know as Bristol City FC's resources are reliant on Mr Lansdown.

Point one is only incorrect because of the game yesterday but let's face it there's not much in it to say that they have significantly less resources than us

Point one is incorrect over seasons. I do not know how much HTFC spend or what their income is, but I am more aware of what features on BCFC accounts. It is possible that BCFC have far more resource at their disposal as Mr Lansdown has clearly granted considerable spending on players, the ground, and has restructured debts via equity and loans. A conservative sum involved there would be seventy million in three seasons

We looked a very second rate outfit yesterday from the highlights I saw and the stats at my disposal whilst sitting in the Fox & Goose at Brent Knoll..

New contract or no new contract, at this rate peoples patience will wear thin with LJ sooner rather than later.

Second best to most balls and a hungrier opposition....it was Cardiff all over again.

Very close to my ancestral home in Edithmead there angelic, is that your part of the world? I tend to agree with your comments and I'm just fed up with the same old rhetoric, isn't there something about fooling some of the people etc which applies here? When you've heard the same stuff season after season it becomes mind warping eventually.

    Hi Mike

No, I live in Whitchurch, but we have our family Xmas meal at, and stay overnight at the Fox & Goose at Brent Knoll once a year. We used to have it at The George in Norton St Philip but it became horribly expensive.

This season was never going to be the stroll in the park that some on here had predicted, but at times we don't seem to have moved on at all from the earlier games this term where we threw points away or looked second best/disinterested.

I don't mind if we lose, but we need to at least look as though we are trying is my take on things.

Keep dreaming angelic because that is an essential when you are a Bristol City supporter. Have a great holiday and let's hope the New Year brings us all some luck. Feliz Navidad from Mexico to you and all 606ers.

Sorry if I offended your delicate baby ears. But at what point did I make something up?

Where did I misquote you? You are banging on about Kodjia and I'm saying it's completely irrelevant to mention him at all. Why not bring up "if we still had Andy Cole" as well?

Again, you clearly are going off on tangent after tangent. My point was that in the MODERN game (that means today) you don't get time to build as there is no guarantee just because you are "building" that there is any fact behind that statement that you will build anything! There is far too much at stake not to get things right from the get go. So why you are bringing up a manager who was given time over 30 years ago is completely, mind numbinly irrelevant. So you are right; there really is no point in continuing this.

Another lemming that will march over a cliff gleefully following a false prophet.

We are on a bad run
    So get over it !

Not even half way through the season yet. LJ has to prove himself, and now is the time to do it so we should let him get on with it at least until Feb. If its still going tits up then, well, I can't see him being in charge by April

    Rickster, you posted last night
'LJ needs to take this by the scruff of the neck, or his job will be on the line'
    and
'We are now officially in S.h.i.t Street'

    Today you comment:
'We are on a bad run
    So get over it !'

Fair play - You've obviously 'got over it'.

Would be an easy solution if we were getting a pounding every game, makes it much more difficult when all of our games has been decided by the odd goal or two.
I am crossing everything, that things will turn around.
RP, you said that Tammy again was on his own, but that was not the case of what I heard, (I didn't go) so I'm not sure!.......we need to win a couple of games to gain back the confidence back in these players, mistakes and missed chances has cost us so many points......hoping this is rectified before ending up in a dog fight at the bottom of the table.

I've just heard the Birmingham have just departed with their manager (Gary Rowett, footballs a funny old game!

He was an ok defender but at 42 I would have thought we would want someone younger in our back line

We are 7 points better off than we were this time last year.... After spending almost 12 million... That's your definition of progress?

Okey doke. You win. No doubt we should have given SOD a longer run at the job as well?

Thats because I am trying to stay sane RP, and not sacrifice the golden goose when it doesn't lay to order.
    However
Even I must admit that after today I am struggling to see any other outcome for us but cataclysm and a furious rear guard action in the Spring.
Its a real shame, but the boy wonder has lost his sheen

So wait... one game on in the conversation and you have been swayed into seeing the light that LJ isn't a prophet or the chosen one???? You are officially up the wall. Ridiculous!
