We signed Zak Whitbread on a free transfer and we were fookin ripped off! Hopefully this guys better although he'll have to go some to be worse!
Have a butchers on the Tranmere forum "The Paddock" - tells you all you need to know. Pretty sure if he had improved that much, Tranmere would have upped his £1.6K per week wages a long time ago http://www.thefootballnetwork.net/boards/read/s383.htm?730,14065117 They were right though - not good enough for Forest and will end up at a low Championship club instead
In an ideal 11 Marshall would be in it because it would have meant he will have found his form again. Him and Knockaert on top form would put us in with a very good shout of top 2
can't see NP changing from a back four. this signing is more for competition coupled with the fact konch cant play 50 odd games a season and schlupp is better in a more advanced position. He's at a good age and if konch can help him progress further he could be a very good addition
All that thread suggests is that Tranmere weren't able to up his wages as they are skint, not many of them are saying he wasn't good enough. If you are trying to prove someone wrong, at least use evidence. And as for low championship club - where did you finish again?
@OfficialFOXES 1m First signing of the summer for #LCFC - Ivorian defender Zoumana Bakayogo on a 2-year deal. #WelcomeZoom @zoumbaka please log in to view this image
We can't play 5-3-2 as you need to have some centre backs to do so. Unless Whitbread and St. Ledger both play, we don't have the numbers, and I can't see Pearson playing either much next season tbh. Moore's in with a shout but personally I'm not sure he's really ready to be playing much, and is also IMO wasted at centre back. Pleased we've signed someone, not going to lie and say I know anything at all about Bakayogo though!
I'd advise you to actually read the link you've posted Most are saying that he wouldn't be worth spending 2.5k per week (which would comfortably make him their highest earner) because they'd want a new striker than a left back.
Tranmere boss on him "He's an excellent footballer who gives his all for the club when he plays. He's got a great attitude in training and is a wonderful character to have around the club." That'll do for me ... as for ending up at a low Championship club ... that would be Forest.
