It's nice to see the youth team being prepared to slot into place should they be needed, defensive coaching exactly mirrors the 1st team so that the boys can take over and perform to the same standard as there adult role models. http://www.barnetfc.com/news/article/youth-team-pull-off-incredible-comeback-1821609.aspx
Barnet got a youth team...lol...that won't last....would they like to borrow my crystal ball...sorry grumpy but that really has tickled my humour, especially as their first team is top of the Conference after winning 5-0 on Saturday.
I hadn't even realised the significance of it being Barnet, just that our boys were 4 - 1 up at half time and lost. Sorry brb I need to get out of this depression before tomorrow, I just feel that all the dross I watched in the pre=season matches showed again on Saturday, nothing seems to have been learned. Still as PT said "pre-season is all about fitness" so I guess skill, tactics, game plan, team bonding are all to follow.
I guessed you hadn't realised that's why i laughed when i saw the link. I had to double check your post, to make sure you was talking about the Gills and not Barnet. All said and done and humour aside, pleased to see it working out for MA in his first game of the new season.
