So JM will be playing in the Scottish League Cup final aginst Celtic on Sunday - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...&utm_source=eshot&utm_campaign=newsletterlink.
Our Jacob signs a new, improved contract. [Thought I'd post it here too as DD seems to think he's either yoof or loanee?]
Aberdeen managed to get James Maddisons' yellow card for simulation overturned. Saw a video of it and he was definitely tripped, but I thought clubs could not appeal against a yellow card.
Different rules in Scotland and of course Aberdeen would have had a penalty - hey ho and maybe one day we'll get a TMO to resolve such decisions!!!
Tony Andreu scored (again) as Dundee beat Hibs last night. This caught my eye from the BBC match report - exactly what we need, GH and Bradley J had plenty, none of the current crowd have shown any at all "Team-mate Grant Holt appeared to think he should take the penalty, reacting angrily before Boyle stepped up to hit a low and weak effort that was easily stopped. Holt's evident frustration spilled over into an incident with Willo Flood that saw both booked for a spot of wrestling and a few others lucky not to suffer the same fate." Get in, Holty!
Good to see that Matt Jarvis got 73 minutes in the U23s 2-2 draw at Boro. Jarvis was the only over-age player in a good performance which also featured McGrandles making a come-back from his broken leg with 81 minutes in a hard fought draw. Unfortunately Ramsey picked up an injury after 12 minutes. Full story here: http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/...k_with_another_outing_for_under_23s_1_4814336
The dynasty is looking good and our new Icelandic 16 year old makes his debut in an impressive away win at Burnley in the Youth Cup! http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/impressive_city_youngsters_march_on_in_fa_youth_cup_1_4840444
Didn't this happen last season as well? I seem to remember we were continually away to northern doss holes . I worked in most of them so I know this to be true. The doss bit that is.

It could do with a bit more meat as to how they are pigeon holed to each colour, possible strategies to convert more reds to ambers and greens and ambers to greens. An insight into what they look for in loan oportunities? Do ambers go out on loan to raise them to greens? I'm thinking of the Murphy's or were they always Greens because they always believed they would reach the 1st team. Very little info for me, pretty much saying we have plodders, maybes and probablies, No sh#t! I wonder, do the players know what colour they are currently labelled? I guess not, it could be pretty damned demoralising, equally it could be motivating too. Bah!
It was good to see Godfrey, Grant, Ramsay and Middleton involved at Southampton. Godfrey had a great game in CM, even though his main position is CB. It looks like he may go out on loan if our injury crisis eases. http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/ben_godfrey_could_fly_the_nest_at_norwich_city_1_4856417
I imagine Ivo Pinto will be observing this tie with interest? Norwich City FC @NorwichCityFC Norwich City FC Retweeted PL Youth The draw for the Premier League International Cup quarter-finals has been made... and our Under-23s will face Dinamo Zagreb. #ncfc
So, JM hasn't gone back to Aberdeen - YET!!!!!! From today's EDP - "Neil also has the loan route option to tweak his squad, although the Scot is still to sanction James Maddison’s potential return to Aberdeen until the rest of the season. The former Coventry City youngster is back at his parent club after two goals in 19 appearances for the Dons. “What I am not going to do is leave us short in certain areas. It depends on ins and outs,” said Neil. “That final decision will come as the window progresses. The one thing I want to do is make sure James plays football - whether it is here or not."
