Wes has had his day. Whilst I'm really keen to see Maddison given a chance I'm a bit concerned if he comes back with things as they are now it will not help his development and maybe even set it back

What would dot numerous I's and cross all the T's would be if someone offered big money for Naismith in January.
Get shot of that half-hearted piece of junk and there'd be a squad place up for grabs which Maddison could slot straight into.

That would work if Naismith was the problem, but whilst I'd be happy to move Naismith on I don't think he's the main problem. I think Maddison is a fantastic prospect, but I'm not convinced AN is the man to bring him on. I think I'd rather he stayed at Aberdean where he's clearly doing well & enjoying himself rather then bung him into our current team with all the current issues.

 

Yes, there were rumoured to be several clubs after JM's signature, when we 'pushed the boat out' and signed him. It may be a slight risk playing him in the Championship, but right now AN needs to take risks and not keep selecting a team to hopefully not lose!!!!

 

Good performance by City's U23s as they beat Celtic U23s 3-0 at CR with 2 goals for Morris and one for Josh Murphy with good game time for Canos, Whittaker and Turner as well. Jones was in goal.

Indeed I was. But the fault is all mine, I should of posted the link (at 1.30 p.m. this afternoon ) on the 'loanee watch' thread, not just some random thread that just so happened to be first on the list!

Except the Murphy wins are now 21 years of age, and at their parent club - so no longer yoofs or loanees
