I love Mambo. This evening was particularly poignant as Robert Miles' 'children' was played as the sun went down.
    There's a magic about Ibiza.

Our plans are a little different. Our landlady has decided to sell the house that we rent, so we're moving into the motorhome and going to spend a year on the road until we find somewhere where we would want to live.

At the moment we've decided to search the Scottish Highlands and Islands.

    So, back to the packing...

Eh..... North East and visiting Scotland as usual. Mind you I am not unhappy about it because even though I have lived here for 25 years North Shields is still "home". Anyway I've been all over the world - except the antipodes - and it's all the same arse. Good pint in a good pub in Northumberland in front of a fire... that's where it is at.

For anyone who is interested in the attractions of lower Tyneside I would recommend Irvinins on the fish quay. And for the posh socks house of tides in Newcastle.

I went to Macau last year. Massively overrated.

I go there a lot - well whenever I am back in the uk. But you should go definitely: a good day trip is to take the wee boaty out from Seahouses in the morning to look at the seals, birds an so forth and then go to holy island in the afternoon (or vice Versa depending on the tide).

    But yea go.

Just about to start new job, and looking to sell our flat and buy a house, so hopefully holiday options are limited.

Apparently gonna have to work in Sweden quite regularly over the summer for this new job, so I guess that almost counts as a holiday.

It's quite expensive for a pint over in Sweden if I remember rightly.
Denmark the same... around £10 a pint.

I actually have been to Bulgaria. Haven't been for about 10 years, but it was absolutely dirt cheap when I was there. I always went in winter though for the skiing to Pamparovo.

Very affordable. Hungary too, it's roughly 40p a pint over there.

No holiday for me this year. Starting a new job in July though, so might be heading out to Georgia (USA) for a project. Ultimate goal is to earn enough money I can afford somewhere to live that is suitable for a cocker spaniel! Always been the favoured family pet, although my parents' last one died decades ago.
