If you could have the ideal (realistic) summer transfer window, which players would you snatch?

    For me I'd like:

    -Mandzukic
    -Josip Drmić
    -Lars Bender

On top of those 3, I'd like to buy another back up GK should both Fabianski and Viviano leave, and one more CB, I think we're a bit short in defence with only 3 CB's.

All together these players could cost 60 million, more than doable, 20 million for Mandzukic, 8 million for Dremic, 25 million for Bender, 2-3 million for back up GK, and 4-5 million for new back up CB. We could even break the bank further for Bender and give 30 million if that's what it takes, it's not like we can't afford it. We could sign all these players for less than 70 million quid.

Players I'd release: Arteta, Giroud, if we do sign a new DMF can't see how we will keep 2 others in Flamini-Arteta, and I personally prefer Flamini to Arteta, Arteta just has no pace and with his age he's not going to get any better or adapt to the DMF position.

I'd actually give Diaby a 1 year rolling contract.

Every time I watch Mandzukic I'm just reminded of Giroud. Maybe his finishing is slightly better? but we need pace

    Bender definitely

With Diaby, even despite his atrocious injury record I'd still be slightly reluctant to get rid of him

It would be stupid to just discard a player with Arteta's experience, keep as a squad player

Zukic is more agile and quicker than Giroud, plus much more skillfull, his first touches are better etc, and he does it in the big games as well.

If not Zukic, my second option is Benzema.

As for Arteta, the thing is, if we want to sign big players, it costs lot's of money plus their wages, so it's best to trim the wage bill as much as possible, Arteta as a squad player who will barely play will be taking up the wage bill to the tune of around 60k a week. And we already have the experience with a player like Rosicky, and even with players like Mert, Flamini etc.

-> Balotelli (cuz Puma will pay part of it?) or Benzema (if Wenger will choose).
-> Never watched Lars Bender but a DMF.
-> Sagna WILL leave. Richards to replace?

RB - Coleman - IF Sagna goes.

Then I would go.. (in order of importance)

    1. Striker - either: Costa, Cavani, Ibrahimovic, Balotelli, Manzukic or Martinez. (yeah I can dream)

    2. CM - Lars Bender or M'Vila

    3. AMF/WF - Draxler or Griezman

    4. GK- Casillas

Plus maybe a young centreback to replace Djourou.

He sucks as a centreback but is a very good right back. The issue is he doesnt want to be played as a fullback. (even though its by FAR his best position)

He is so injury prone, it's untrue. Him at Arsenal would be a disaster.

What makes you think Puma would pay anything towards Balotelli joining us ?

    They wont.

But.. a Puma player (such as Balotelli, Falcao, Cavani, Fabregas, Reus) could make a small fortune through sponsorship and merchandising deals. If they timed a move with the Summer PUMA kit launch. Im sure plenty of agents will be awaire of this.

    In order of priority:

    Mandzukic
    Lars Bender
    Draxler

and make sure we sign Sagna up for another two years at least.

Also it would be pointless letting Giroud go, he's a decent back up striker and with Ozil, Walcott and Ramsey in the team he's a decent player to have in there. People are letting their frustration with him cloud their judgement. If we got rid we would have to get another back up striker because otherwise we'd be relying on Sanogo.

If Sagna goes to Citeh, surely it makes sense to get Zabaleta instead of Richards?

Seems like no one thought about wingers that we desperately need some class wingers with pace and ability to dribble past players!
