Good thread- don't need to go in to where we are/were etc Wordsworth George Boyd Harry Arter Jonjo Shelvey
no spot on with primus. i saw his debut at upton park i think and you could see he would be a player. but in our infinite wisdom, we thought we could let him go because we had ricky rufus. 1 career ended injury later, it didnt look such a smart move. if we had him 25-30 - would have been a great player and also the right kind of character for our club. my personal anguish relates to the all too soon release of paul bacon. travesty
yeah, but you can understand. he was proper ****tu and whenever he came back with qpr he was a proper scunthorpe by trying to wind the fans up.
WeWantOurCharltonBack Josh Wright was only released because he had a major bust up with Parky, he didnt feel like he was given a chance as he started 1or2 games then dropped for no apparent reason! He even confirmed it to me on facebook that he had a massive bust up leading to his exit... Charlie MacDonald was released having only scored 1 goal for us against newcastle (remember it well) he has done pretty well for himself since, going down to non league and building his way back up
George Boyd. Having said that, many of these players came through when we were a Premier League club, and they were not yet good enough for to play at the top level, and so I'm not convinced by the 'what might have been' mentality
