    From a "supposed" reliable source............. Pennant is gone in January, (which we probably already know), but here is the deal..... he's going to Everton and we are giving them 8 million and we are getting Baines and Cahill in return!

    I'll settle for that if the story has substance!

    Well it was from someone supposedly in the know Nick mate and he said a few other things regards Pennant but I won't put them in print mate. It would certainly explain a few things if found to be true. I know TP was sniffing around Cahill in the last window so there just may be a little truth in it!

    IF that's anywhere near true.. let's roast the nuts, get Christmas outta the way. Cancel New Years Eve and they can have Pennant for free! Jan...
    EIGHT million for Baines AND Cahill bloody hell Waddo I'll take that.

    On topic Waddo, I think I mentioned this last summer.. we were at the T Ground last night of the window re Crouch..
    And, quite a few reliable fella's I know were convinced we were about to sigh Cahill? but said it's fallen through. So,YOU could well be right.

    Sorry guys - Leighton is only 5 foot 6 and can't play at Centre Half.

    Also Welsh M, I am actually not having a go at TP, I just don't see him moving away from his trusted formula of buying CH's who can fill in at full back.

    I would love to be proved wrong!

    ps Say what you like about the manager, mate- I don't know where my reputation has come from that I'm some TP arse-licker, but it isn't true at all. He's a long way from perfect. <ok>

    Baines does take a (fantastic) free kick almost as good as Beckham!
    Maybe it's T.Ps plan B..

    We hoof it upfield Walter's and Co draw the fouls anywhere within 30yds of goal. Baines whacks it sorted.

    Would love it if Waddo is right but, I think i will enjoy Christmas first. OH and maybe a few whiskys to celebrate 2012 <ok>

    Sounds fantastic and Baines would certainly sort out the LB issue. Foe me though, pennant and 8 Million sounds abit cheap for those pair?
    Not sure where Cahill would fit into our sysetm (although he is excellent in the air!) and I would imagine that we would have to get rid of one of our strikers - also (dont wnat to sound negaitive) but he wont sit on the bench for us when he plays week in week out for them?
