Nah he was injured and lazy towards the end at Barca, hence why they made no effort to hang on to him.

I'd rather have Silva, but I guess I'd just about settle for Toure. Let's get Aguero too while we're at it.

ridiculous link but anyone saying they wouldn't fancy him is bonkers. He is about 10 levels of class above anything we have currently got in the middle.

No chance. He'll be off to China / USA if City let him go.

Latest gossip is that West Ham are interested. More likely that he would move to New York Red Bulls as City own that anyway.

if you watch him close . he struggles to get round the pitch now ... players run rings round him now ..its either he is over the hill , or just can not be bothered .

not the type of player i would want .anyway

I thought you were joking earlier <yikes>

He has got around the pitch just fine this season. What you do need to put around him is pace and youthful exuberance. Its all about balance.

However Yaya>Shelvey by quite a long long way.

I am with Leez on this one I am afraid. He is still a good player but his legs are going, he is getting on, his wages would be very high and I think it would be a massive gamble.....

If we where to go for a similar type (ish) of player in the age category I would have Carrick over Yaya.

Carrick would certainly be more likely for us but I doubt we'd get either of them.

This would definitely never happen but everyone does realise that pretty much one of our starting CM's is Jack Colback, we have just been promoted from the Championship and we are talking about YaYa Toure here.

Better to get the next Yaya Toure, then the one coming to the end of his career....

Have only been to St. James' twice, first was Man United, and second Man City in our relegation season.

Remember sat in the Gallowgate, watching how some of the Man City players moved around the pitch and how they positionally played (I'm a football nerd sometimes)

Yaya barely moved, always let runners go by him, but others in midfield, if I remember Delph Ferdinho just had is a given and put the extra running in.

This was now a year and half ago, but every attacking movement out of defence had to go through him. Ala, later day Scholes.

Pep has made use for him, but would rid of in an instance if Gundugon was fit and reliable.

He can be carried in a side that dominates games, in a midtavle to relegation fight on plus 100k wages.... it's a no from me.
