The player deemed by Duchatelet & Meire as "not good enough" for basket case Charlton scored his 19th Championship goal of the season last night, propelling Reading into the Championship play off final. Yann left the field before full time to what the BBC described as a "rousing standing ovation" from the Reading fans. In the meantime, Charlton fans have enjoyed marvelling at the goals scoring abilities of his replacements - from the Albino Donkey Simon Makienok to the fat plodding cart horse Lee Novak. Not forgetting luminaries like Tucadean & Reza of course. Good luck to Yann in the Play Offs. Along with Solly & Jackson, the only Charlton player of this obscene era that Curbs or Lennie would have looked twice at.
One mustn't forget Piotr Parsley. What a fantastic decision that was getting rid of Kermorgant for 400000 and buying Polish Pete for 750000. But they have learned from their mistakes.
This is for the benefit of that brains of a rocking horse Colin, Bexleyboy who is still posting the same **** on ITTV about Kermorgant. "I wanted to sign a new deal and stay longer at the club," Kermorgant said. "In my first meeting with the new owners I found out things were completely different. They had a vision which, for me, was completely deluded." "I'm gutted," Kermorgant added. "I think they have wasted the club. "They didn't know too much about football. I felt like they were wrong and they would be in trouble because football is different to business. "It looked to me like their position was a bit weird." "Two years after I can see where they are and I think it was the right decision [to leave]," the Frenchman added. "They are bottom of the league and I can't see them not being relegated at the end of the season. "The club and the fans are great. It's a nice, family club and to see what they have done is very annoying." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35663
Don't forget it was a double whammy, Yann and Dale both shown the door. Stephens has played in most of Brighton's games this season and has just signed a new contract. The Cousins/Stephens midfield combination had been very effective for both players, with Cousins in the defensive role, enabling Stephens to move forward. When Poyet came in to the defensive position Cousins had to move forward, which IMO never suited him so well.
Stephens is valued at around £10mil now. They received an offer of 7 last summer. Yep, my man crush still exists. As for Yann - it still hurts, but she's also too classy a gentleman to be around this crock of....
it infuriates me thinking of all the sh1t we've signed and all the great players we've let go for peanuts. if there wasnt already a sign of incompetency (other than when they talk), then a list of both of these sets of players would show it.
BB, who when recently asked whether he would prefer Varney or Daisy as CEO, said that varney was poionous, which onw would have to take as a vote for the Smirk. But don't forget, that's all history, we've moved on.
Another classic from Bexleyboy. Sarr has been the biggest success out of all the loans and feel he could yet turn out to be a decent player at this level.
