Well it's back again and so far I have managed to make a profit every year. It's early days so any bet is a risk. I'm going to take a little of the 12/1 on offer (from Betfred/Totesport) for 4th Power. There seems to be some good value at the bigger prices but there are too many to choose from so may have a closer look after boot camp. Current odds
And I'll take the 20/1 on offer from Bet Victor for Chloe Paige ........... and a tiny bit on Bupsi at 100/1 (general)
So that is my initial Portfolio this year: 4th Power 12/1 - 10 points Kiera Weathers 6/1- 10 points Chloe Paige 20/1- 2 points Bupsi 100/1 - 1 point 23 points staked Edit: point stakes added
Chloe Page is actually 22/1 now with Coral (12/1 with a few). Could do without that as I intended to lay her off fairly early, along with Bupsi. The latter still available at 100/1, although some have her as low as 40/1. I'm hoping she will come down to 50/1 across the board so that I can lay her off. Need some good performances this weekend
Oh dear, Skybet offering 25/1 Chloe Page (still 12s with some). Do Skybet know something. 30/1 on the Exchange
After watching tonight's performances, not too encouraging. Anything could happen so it's a case of hanging in there and hoping the 2 favourites turn in a below average display. I thought Bupsi at 100/1 was better than some of those at shorter odds but I suppose if they have no chance of winning it doesn't matter too much. Pretty ropey all round. Someone needs to up their game. Nerves playing a part
4th Power down slightly at best price 10s. The other 3 are all available at higher odds with at least one bookie. Not looking good at present and in no position to lay off. Just to make a small profit (assuming none of them win) I need to be able to lay off 4th Power at 4/1 at some stage. Fingers crossed they get better and stay in.
All the bookies seem to think this is a 1 horse race with only 1 other definite for the final. The favourite is good but not exceptional. The second favorite has an exceptional voice but is weird. Unfortunately, at present, none of mine look that brilliant either. Beginning to think should have left this year alone but it's still early days
Anyone reading this thread must think I'm stark raving bonkers.. Well I'm not. Hee hee ha ha hee ha ha, they're coming to take me away hee hee ha ha ho ho.
Lauren Murray used to sing in my local pub. If she gets to the live shows I think the best bet is that at least 4 of the regulars will claim to have bedded her. I didn't - we stuck to some light petting
Having been at Longchamp yesterday I haven't seen the 6 chair farce yet. I assume it was a farce again.
Louisa looks a strong favourite at this stage, but we've seen that a lot over the years! I like Lauren Murray too at 28/1
I'm so into this I still haven't seen last Sunday's show. Anyway tonight I'm off to see my own daughter in concert. First one with her new group.
Although I say it myself, that was a brilliant concert; better than I could have hoped for. Amanda has been offered 11 original songs to sing. Can't be bad.
Just watched last Sunday's 6 chair challenge. Keira smashed it and I'm surprised she hasn't shortened to around 4/1 after that performance. Still in with a chance if she keeps that up.
4th Power still hanging in. Simon likes them. Get those odds down. I'm banking on these and Keira. The 2 fun bets are as good as lost
Can't stand the attitude of that Mason Noise. But he is good and he is back. If he behaves his odds could tumble. Therefore a speculative 10 points at 33/1
