League Table

The only real changes in our table this week were through Hornette very graciously allowing others to catch up. Brian was the major beneficiary, jumping up into 3rd. Elsewhere, Mark got the highest score of the day, 105, which also didn't earn a rise in the table. Generally a low scoring day - with myself managing to make it even lower ! 10 rounds left now, so any late spurts should be beginning to materialize. Seb doesn't show any sign of cracking, but Frenchie is not letting the gap grow. The battle for 3rd is really hotting up.

League Table

A round of teeth gnashing for many of us this week. One of the least successfull rounds ever saw us only get 5 absolutely correct results between us. With so many low scores around it was the right time to make hay for someone, and, it proved to be Aberdeen and Frenchie who both topped the hundred mark. Frenchie, because Udinese replaced Watford for this week, and he got a unique scoreline on it. Aberdeen, mostly, because of the joker on Everton v West Brom at 3-0, being also a 'unique' tip. As a result Frenchie nearly halved Seb's lead at the top - so there still hope left for all of us.

It doesn't happen often that you score 120 and find the gap narrowing behind you but Seb experienced it this week, with Frenchie keeping up the pressure at the top with the week's highest score of 148. The third ton of the day was by Andy, with 133, who moves from 9th up to 4th, and, for the first time, is above one of his kids. Elsewhere there were not many changes. We now have a week's break for the internationals next weekend.

Main story of this week was a remarkably virtuous act by Andy - namely posting his son's tips but forgetting his own, and thus allowing his other son to jump above him. This really is what Dad's are made of. Other story of the day was the highest score by Mark, who is making a late run towards the play offs. Other high scorers were Barry (Hornetonsecondbase) and myself. Now still very much of a 2 horse race at the top, with Frenchie being the only one who can realistically catch Seb.

Truth is, Matej was deemed too poorly by Mater to attend football tournament in Basildon. As a coach I thought I should still go. I thought I'd be able to grab a moment and predict but I didn't get a second.

Rumbles at the top this week, with Frenchie scoring a whopping 126 to slash Seb's lead down to 13 points. Elsewhere, Yorkie moved up into 4th with an impressive 119. Highest score of the day was by Chris 13 with 138, followed by theghost with 131. The only other ton being by Brag with 104. There are now only 6 rounds of the WPL left, so a lot of changes are still possible - with the battle for 3rd being still very open.
