He started off okay, and he is a decent player, and I think he will improve once he adjusts to the league. But he is a bit of a discipline problem, needs to sort that out, he makes Paul Scholes look like a good tackler.
I wouldn't say so. He hasn't been great, but its only his price tag that would make you believe he has been the worst. He has improved as the season has moved on. Definitely not worth anywhere near what United paid, I agree, but worst buy? Nah.
I disagree. Like I said, He's been one of our best signings, just because he cost a lot of money, people expect him to be world-class from the get-go, it doesn't work like that.
So for £89million, you wouldn't expect a world class player then? What would you expect for that sum, a competent journeyman midfielder? Or did you pay all that dough for "potential"? Christ.
For £89m, I'd not only expect him to be world class, I'd expect him to to be the top dog in world football!
Not at all, I expect him to settle into the team and get used to his surroundings, He'll come good for us next season in my opinion.
Still played in the league before so he knew what to expect. The club also knew exactly what they were getting. Spending £89m in with that knowledge already on board should have guaranteed (as close as can be) a world class player.
His transfer reminds me a lot of Cristiano Ronaldo, when he went to Real Madrid, A lot of people said it was too much money etc, It's a bargain the money they paid for him, I expect Paul Pogba to come good for us next season.
Except C.Ronaldo was one of the top two players in the world and hit the ground running. He justified that price tag immediately. For the record matth, only only said Pogba to get you going
