Billy, I was over that way a couple of weeks ago and I'm sure my son in law said ICI were finished there as we drove past Wilton, but dont quote me.
My first ever safety induction down there went like this. Safety guy came in and said always look to see which way the wind is blowing, if you hear the alarm run like **** in the opposite direction???? Didn't exactly fill us with confidence Another one for Amec cos we were welding some boiler tubes. When you get home check your tongue in the mirror, if it's turning black get to the hospital immediately, they won't be able to save you, but will be able to give you something to ease the pain until you die??? Apparently their was a byproduct called Venerium (spelling) and it's a killer. **** that!!!
It's still a fair size but not at the level it was in It's still a fair size but Isn't at the capacity it was in its heyday
I as lying on some racking once g I was lying on some ladder rack glanding and terminating some cables and the halon gas alarm went off. Basically this was a fire suppressant which sucked all of the oxygen from the area where the incident was to kill not only the fire but yourself if you couldn't get out fast enough. Linford Christie had f*ck all on me that day.
Aye it's mental down there as you know mate, some right nasty chemicals which unless you're an expert you know absolutely **** all about. I'm still expecting to wake up one day with a hump on my back.
I was at that game - it was unreal. Think it was 4-0 with about 5 mins to go. Alex Sabella who played for the blades was MOTM by a mike. Bart
Some people still call it the 'Sabella match', it was May, or round about that time, and there was even a snow flurry under floodlights ...... wow!
