New Wolves signing Jamie OâHara today says he aims to be playing for England next season. OâHara, born in Dartford but also eligible for the Republic of Ireland, had not previously stated a preference. But the former England Under-21 international has now set his sights on a Three Lions call-up. The £5 million man wants to use his first-team opportunities to follow team-mate Matt Jarvis into Fabio Capelloâs squad during the next campaign. He said: âIâve decided I want to play for England. Itâs always been my ambition as a young player â I played in all the age group teams through the years and now Iâm looking to get off to a flying start and get into the full side. âIâm looking to be a key figure for Wolves this season and getting into the England squad is something I really want to do. âI had a good end to last season and coming into the new season, I want to have a cracking start and get into the England reckoning.â
