Impressive controlled and clinical performance from the blues tonight, everyone played their part, but special mention must go to Barry and McCarthy who for me were back to their best tonight. Howard was sublime and Eto'o came off the bench and showed Lukaku what hold up play is all about. Quality from us tonight.
It was a different performance to what the crowd maybe expected to see and this setup looked perfect for us in Europe. Naismith was the outstanding player for me....Barry and McCarthy played to the usual high standard they set each week. McGeady and Mirallas both worked hard and Lukaku was a willing runner into the spaces to help launch attacks. lovely cameo by Eto'o and a cracking free kick was needed to get them on the score sheet. Jags and Stones looked like the new partnership at CB for me, however they provided no real threat
