Exactly what they should do I'd pay a small fee to watch games on a service like that. No chance I'd fork out £30+ a month for Sky Sports as it is though. Especially not with tech these days making it so easy for the free ride.
I'd happily pay something like a fiver per game and have the ability to choose what games I want to watch.
Same here. The market is gagging for a service like that tbh... Although I'm sure I read somewhere about a new ppv for next season?
I find it a bit crazy that SKY haven't taken advantage of their grip of the Premier League and started it already. With all the money they're pumping into the game surely they've got someone in their company that is saying "hang on a minute"?
Agreement not to show games at 3pm sat in UK to protect football at all levels. though these days how many PL games KO at the traditional time.
I'm not suggesting that 3pm games be shown. Its more that I cant be arsed paying to watch Palace play Watford or something. Let SKY pick the TV games and let me choose which ones I want to pay for.
ah right but then the bigger clubs would end up getting a much higher proportion of TV income than they do at present where we have a very equitable distribution of the dosh .
I can see the PL game standard slot being Sunday 3pm not too far in the distant future to get around that rule so all games can be shown.
The TV money should continue to be spread evenly. Should be some sort of agreement that each club gets the same amount. Trouble is getting each club to agree. Why would United agree to take the same amount as Bournemouth? Not many people will watch their games. It's a problem that does need sorting though.
