So, this is the biggest derby since, errm, the last time we played them in '15. Hopefully this will go our way for once, as we are due some good fortune against them. Saying that, are we good enough though? We obviously go there in relative good form, albeit only one win in 7 (against a poor Villa team), but we are playing with more confidence, whereas they have lost just the once in 7 in the league. It will be interesting to see what team Mick goes with - will he go to attack, or back to his usual self and defend and play for the draw (and look for a smash and grab)? I think he will stick with the same team against Leeds, but maybe drop Skuse (yes, he may finally get dropped) and go with Diagouraga to hopefully eliminate Tettey in the middle of the park. I also think Sears will get the nod over Pitman and Moore, purely down to his work rate. I'm hoping Mick goes for it, rather than sit back and bore them into submission, although I think, ironically, we will have a better chance of winning the game if we go with the latter, as I don't think we are good enough attacking wise to cause them too much trouble. Unfortunately, I'm going to predict a battling 2-1 defeat, with the budgies carrying on their dam good run against us.
An exciting East Anglian derby, many missed chances both ends, score draw 2-2. Neither club that happy!
You don't have to be very good to do a number on us this season, though the home form has been far better than the away efforts. If Town can maintain shape and discipline at the back then at least 1 point is there for the taking I would say. Set pieces are something of an Achilles heel for us again this season so if you have someone who can cross a ball with some quality, this should cause all sorts of confusion and panic in the City defence.
Yes we definitely do - but unfortunately he has a big gob and got himself booked, and subsequently banned for this game.
With their squad valued at about £40M compared to ours valued at about 30 Bob I can't see anything else but a big Budgies win, having said that my last two predictions have been totally wrong so I hope my run of form continues.
Much the same as when we played them earlier in the Season and there was little to choose between the sides then!
2-0 Norwich for me. Yes a recent upturn but they have a better side, chance of top 6 and our misery will continue. prove me wrong blue men!
Well done SD, top of the morning me old mate, lets hope for a cracking match. Hold our own for 20, then pounce and force a 1st goal. Score 1st in this game, NFC heads might drop and crowd of turnipheads will be thinking, oh, f...k, thats our promotion slipping away.. COYBs
Would like to see Skuse subbed half time, and let Diagoraga come on a boss the midfield creatively...need to hold the ball and press up, something Skuse doesnt/wont do.
Chambers is getting murdered down the left and we are reverting to type yet again not one effort on goal so far So predictable so depressing
Yep, time for changes half time...off with Skuse for starters. Lets hope we dont let one in before...
We haven't got a focal point upfront either. We've got some technically quite good footballers in the team today but we're playing like a big bruising team. What's the point in buying that type of player if that's the football you're going to play? Another boring game
Bloody hell, let off, time to get our game together....bring on some subs ffs, lets see us play the ball around and go for it. Nowt to lose.
