Ibrah is the Chuck Norris of football. Wants to make everything look like a piece of art. The only problem is, he often ****s up the simple while being distracted by the fancifull. Personally, my opinion is that despite his workrate and despite him being a prolific goalscorer, when he's not scoring he's not doing much else. I actually think we'd score more with a more all round number 9.

Think I've mentioned before that, as a child, Best was the best (!) player I ever saw in the flesh playing. I was in the old Paddock (unusual as we used to go in the Anny Rd early doors and get behind the goal, but I'm sure even then - 1971/2, I think - it was seggregated for United visits). He wasn't even arsed, and I remember Charlton moaning at him all game long, but he went on one run and... wow. I tried to demonstrate it in the playground at Colwell Rd and just tripped over my feet several times. The definition of poetry in motion.

Even in this generation, Rooney isn't in the same class as Scholes (the closest this country has come to producing a Platini, imo) and Giggs in his pomp. Then again, even back in the 70's, united fans saw no irony in singing anti-Scouse songs whilst revering Steve Coppell. And long may that continue.

Gordon Cassidy, a kid I grew up with in Dovecot, was potentially the greatest player ever until he discovered ciggies at 14, beer at 16 and scrubbers at 17. Last I heard he had diabetes and emphysema and was on disability at 35, 20 years ago. Potential, eh?

i can't work out if you are stupid enough to really think that the record goal scorer for a team automatically makes them the clubs best player or somehow you are convinced for some reason this winds us up. If it is the latter it might work if he was a red but since he is blue till he dies ( or signs for ManU) we aint bothered

You do realise that by playing for Manchester's "second best" club he has won more major honours in that time than any other club in the PL
