Interested to know what you all think!
I think it will, but anything less will cost him his job..

if he aint been sacked yet hes certainly not going to be sacked if he gets 4 points from 2 games.

In the unlikely event of a win tonight he'll probably be offered a 10 year extension to his contract.

Despite this minor signing of Matty 'the snake' Taylor, I still cant see us getting any points tonight.

4points will certainly keep him in his job, if he hasn't been sacked after 9 defeats on the trot, he's certainly not going if he goes on a 2 game unbeaten run.

To be fair, 4 points in 2 games would be applauded on here if it was another manager who got them.
4 points would see a stay of execution- justifiably so.
It wouldn't make him bullet proof though.

4 points from the next 2 games is a good return in any situation and would save him for sure, but more importantly than save the manager it will hopefully give the team confidence. I read today that 15 of our 16 defeats this season have been by a single goal, so we are not far away from coming good again.

Well he got the 1st point and another 3 on Saturday will make him safe for now, but surely only buys himself breathing space.

We have 4 very lose able games after that which would be tough what ever sort of run we had been on. A minimum of 4 points in my opinion, would be needed from those games, ideally 6.(Minimum, ideally really would be 12 of course)

Looking at the fixture list after Rotherham, and to ensure that someone else can come in and try and put some order in place before we get sucked further down, I'd suggest that Saturday really is the proverbial MUST WIN GAME for LJ.

If we don't beat Rotherham, and despite a slight upturn last night, then for me he has to go.

Yep completely agree. If we don't beat Rotherham, with the inevitable lack of confidence that will transpire (even more so), I can't see us getting any points over the next 4 points.

I'm one of those living on a wing and a prayer at the moment, I hate the fact that we are losing and looking a pile of ****e in the league but I have not given up hope totally with LJ and must admit last nights result and yesterdays development have given me some hope he will survive and come good.

If we substain a defeat against Rotherham I hope SL appoints a replacement pretty darn quick but for the time being I'm hoping for success with LJ.

Must admit I do fear for LJs job if we don't beat Rotherham (bogey team) on Saturday. The confidence of the players will be at an all time low.
As said with the fixtures coming up, it will be difficult for him, so bloody frustrating, we're scoring goals just the defending is letting us down... I feel we need some clean sheets for us to turn the corner....big big game on Saturday, I will have everything crossed laying on a sun bed in Tenerife!!

Bloody hell 1For, do you ever watch City ?
    We'll beat Rotherham, no worry.

Thought Hegeler looked decent last night and Tomlin was Tomlin.
I love watching him. Why Junior starts him wide only he can answer.
Also thought last night the players were doing everything for the shirt/Junior.
After the w/e we have 4 tough games and think that might tell us a little bit more.

Even if we beat Rotherham and lose the next 4, which is highly likely, that's just 4 games less for someone to come in and save us if the axe falls then.

At that point there will be just 12 games left..........

it wont be a breathing space ... the problem is unless you can beat everybody ... or most, like the teams in top 4 /5 do, picking say next 6 games ( a lot on here are quoting Feb ! ) like those following Rotherham is not a good marker

eg City after Rotherham 4 away 2 home: 3 of top 6 away plus Villa away then Burton and Norwich home
Blackburn after Leeds ... 4 OF BOTTOM 6 3 HOME 3 AWAY .... Home to QPR, DERBY, Wigan ...away to Rotherham,Sheff, Burton
NOW who would you like to be PLAYING City's 6 or Blackburns 6!

we all play each other home and away each so I always feel these things even themselves out. Yes, its annoying if you are away on the last day of a season needing a win and your rival is at home against a somewhat easier team, but that just means that they have played the harder game already. The fixtures being what they are, after Rotherham, it wont be any good coming away from those games saying we played well and focus on the positives. Points are needed
