'Why such a quiet forum? '
    Nice to know you care!
We're just quietly enjoying things. New manager has a sense of purpose and direction, new players are
settling well, pre-season going well, new stadium plans and proposals are great.................
How's your manager, new players, pre-season, stadium plans going?
We all know something will go t**s up, so let's just chill and enjoy the moment!

Lan-Lodger thank you for your concern over how quiet our forum is but please remember as regularly stated we are but the 'blue few', we support a club sadly lacking in the massive following your massive club has the luxury of calling upon to support these marvellous forums.

But hey we do our best contribute when we can and really there isn't too much to shout about...... Manager is in place, signings all completed, pre season off to a winning start, stadium plans not much more than a seed of an idea and the slightest whiff whiff of optimism in the air.

How's your closed season going? Much news to talk about south of the river?

Just remember your as close to non league as we are to the premier league, kinda puts things in context. So 2012 you could be driving across to bath while we could be singing at chelski! Thats the reality boys. Unlikely but possible!

never mind maggots field and trumpton, the shrews have a class act at home on sunday, er a man utd side at home. i believe the gasheads thumped them in the 1950's in the fa cup, bye the bye their main squad are in the usa, so we shall be playing a second or third team, including the groundsmen, chaplain , sir bobby and a sprinkling of youth. the result may have a bearing on how many we shall beat the gas by. although our next game is against wolves. now when do you play those tougher friendlies against hawkesbury upton, frampton cotterell and castle combe. all good preperation for the new season!! do try and fit in a game against iron acton. i am told they are going places, the lamb, crown and the white hart, if your squad of 60 can get a result there, wow you will set the gasometers ablaze

and if there is time can you squeeze in a game against muller road baptist church ladies temperance team. i am told they are hot on ginger beer, sarsparilla and they score goals. lindy lu up front is more accurate than matty harrold and may score goals as well
