is that the Harte of 98/99 or the Harte of 03/04....I loved the guy but for the last couple of years he was dreadful.

From my era, it would have to be McAllister or Bowyer

When thinking of who we would have, it makes you realise/remember how many of our midfielders used to chip in with goals compared to recent times.

When playing 4-2-3-1 those three behind Wood really are not contributing anywhere near enough goals.

Either Billy or big John would be an asset to any team in any era, but players like that are unique.

Olivier Dacourt (not picking from outside my era) he was the best midfielder I've seen in a Leeds shirt. He could run games alone.

I don't beilieve Bremner would be any use in modern football if I am being brutally honest. The game has changed, his reputation and hard tackling would see him booked in the first 5 minutes every game he had.

I'm not saying he wasn't a legend for us but in today's football world his style would not be accepted.

Billy was fiery but he wasn't a nut case. He had a great football brain and managed the team on the field. I'm sure any team in the premier league would welcome him with open arms He wasn't just a great football player he was an inspirational captain.

Thats your opinion and you are entitled to it.
Hiwever The facts are that your entire team have proved to be not good enough to be there.

Yeh, best count pele out too, not a patch on doukara. Bremner not skilful <laugh>

Giles might be more benefit to this team though. Eddie would be great as we are weak down the left, but would probably do his hamstring after a couple of games. Lorimers goals would be handy, strachan would be very useful. Somebody who played like harry kewell but obviously wasn't harry kewell, would be ideal.

..... unless you went to a nightclub in Copenhagen with him! :D

Actually, I thought I'd try to find a link so the youngsters on here would understand about Copenhagen. I surprised myself by finding this one - the actual truth! I didn't know, and I'm sure most people didn't. Interesting read ..... https://www.thefreelibrary.com/SFA ...ook on Danish cop; 21 years on,...-a060988137

I have no idea what he was like socially I was talking about him as a footballer. I watched him at Elland Road in 95% of the games he played.I don't know what the copper thought about him but to me he was terrific.
