... and we got further than all of them ... but I'm not claiming that we had a more successful season <laugh>

I get the point ... ultimately they have both 'acheived' UCL qualification and City did go further in this season's competition but they didn't get a trophy at the end of it ... adding weight to the argument that you need a trophy as a differentiator ... wheras the league position is a measure of success where there is no trophy in the comparitive IMHO ...<ok>

Spurs have had a better season than Man City when you consider how much the two clubs have spent.

Yeah I'd agree with that. FWIW Utd did also win the Community Shield. Gets knocked by many but it's still a day out at Wembley and a chance for your team to win something. Essentially they've achieved a treble this season, may not be the most glamorous one but a fantastic achievement nonetheless.

I don't call it bitterness. Another way to look at it is that Spurs as a club and as a team are always being hacked to bits when it comes to how we perform...at every opportunity. Quite ****ing tedious...I wasn't raised to bend over at every turn. We scored the most goals, conceded the least, got the Golden boot winner, went unbeaten at home winning 17 out of 19. I'm ****ng proud...keep the FA Cup <ok>

Nothing to do with bitterness. It's about not towing the line and agenda of the majority. A Very simplistic evaluation to call it bitterness.

I certainly don't class half the fans on the spurs boards as bitter. I don't get myself dragged into it as i know it's a losing battle and also it could probably be classed as wummery on the spurs board.

I will add i don't think i have seen you being bitter at all and generally most are okay. Even when you have come out with smarmy comments it's more for a WUM and that's quite funny as banter.

There are a few though who will trot out the usual, whether it's "for a laugh" on ANY piece of news or just randomly blurt it out but the usual x clubs are basically racists, thugs etc or that pots worth nothing and so and so club only did it because they had advantage of x,y,z (usually refs, or money, or luck) but a lot of it does come out as bitter.

That's not to say Spurs are the only club to do it. There are certain Pool fans (although they are less about it, maybe more of it in a game) and of course my very own Chelsea have a few gems.

I just get the impression i see it most on the Spurs board

Agree I see more bitterness on Spurs' board too. Even more than Liverpool

  14. How many threads did you start about Spurs, this season? 10? 20?

Sorry, you were saying something about bitterness...?

Chelsea winning the league on a net spend of £20m is some achievement.

Good news for the spirit of football that Leicester won it last year, and Chelsea the year before on a net spend of -£7m

Better than a club spending £200m to play anti-football to win the league, surely. Well, that's what United fans said 04-06 anyway.
