Enthusiastic Charlton Athletic owner Roland Duchatelet has hit out at protesting fans as "actors" insisting their criticisms "have nothing to do with reason". The Belgian businessman took charge of the London club in January 2014 but his reign, along with that of chief executive Katrien Meire, has proved unpopular with a small minority of Addicks fans. And in the wake of Charlton's seventh managerial departure in less than three years, Russell Slade being relieved of his duties on Monday, Duchatelet has hit back at his critics. The Charlton owner, in a text message to TalkSport, has claimed the protests lack "reason". The messages read: "I am in Paris currently. Katrien Meire may have told you I have other things to care for - she knows more than I do on the matters that you seek to cover and is doing a great job. "These protests have nothing to do with reason. Therefore, whatever we do or say the core actors within that small group will always criticise." please log in to view this image
