I like Klopp immensely. The bloke is honest, charismatic and wears nice glasses. I said at the beginning of the season on the LFC that they will win the EPL and I still think this. It's all down to Kloppo. What a guy. I also like Chrissy H for beng a classy man, and delivering our last promotion in very difficult circumstances.
Am surprised no one has done a username called Agent Moyes..... It's right up the street of JPF if he ever decides to have a second coming.....
Tut, tut, fredor. As a stickler for detail, you should have noticed that the actual question was "which manager do you like and why?", not "which manager is the most successful?". I stick by my original answer, David Moyes for doing a fantastic job.
I still like Jose. I know he had a meltdown last year but it doesn't/shouldn't over shadow his achievements. Pundits and journos suggesting he was old school and behind the times during Man Utd's blip are looking pretty stupid now.
Howe. I like Conte too actually. He's just no messing. Everyone loves Klopp of course. Poch too. I like how he is very prepared to give the young British players time on the pitch.
Klopp, Conte, Dyche, Howe, Poch in that order. All have an easy way about them while being driven. They don't feel the need to act the **** but don't take no ****. I like Bilic too. Wears his heart on his sleeve and is just very very honest. Too many whingers for my liking. I think Mourinho has got too involved in the moaning early season. Looked a bit more like his old self since he got his head down and his players have been allowed to play as a result. Just floated along quietly. I like Wenger and respect his ideals but he has been non stop moaning, and still won't accept the obvious with the need for leaders in his side. They have been so close for so long. He only needs to adjust ever so slightly. All he needs is a holding midfielder, centre back and striker with Sanchez's mentality - job done. Stop moaning. Pep is obviously a good coach. I find him unbearable though. I don't know if its just pressure though. I think the bloke may have anxiety/stress related issues. He was visibly shaking in that interview after the Fernandinho sending off. At first I thought what a knob, but the more I watched it, it wreaked of mental health issues to be honest. I am starting to think these sabbaticals may be due to him struggling under the pump/dealing with the fame element. So Wenger, Mourinho, Pep all do my head in with the "worlds against us approach". There is a time for a siege mentality, SAF was a master at timing it, but if that is your default you're just a ****. At our level I like Hughton, Coyle and Wagner. They have an easy way about them and just seem like decent bloke who are football through and through.
Old Klippety is the best thing around, Liverpool fans must be absolutely loving it. Cannot disagree with the shortlist, though I prefer Howe to Dyche - the latter borders a little too close to Allardyce in some of his mannerisms (little bit 'them and us') though not too often. Interestingly made me wonder where we could/would/should go to, dare I say the words, POST-Rafa. First choice would be Eddie Howe as it stands. Still, a lot can happen in 20 years so I won't start a thread just yet.....
David Moyes - got to respect someone who recognises his teams limitations and plays for a draw in a home FA Cup tie against Burnley.
What was all that about? The most hilarious thing is my mackem mate said "I think he has done it on purpose, played his best team, and then sent O'Shea on instead of a young forward late on just to send a message to Short". What risked all his first team at home and not bothered to try to win just to send a message to a guy who clearly doesn't give a **** anyway? I think that would be tantamount to cutting off your bollocks just to see if it hurt.
Would guess that the introduction of O'Shea led to a rapid unveiling of additional pink seats. See the crowd was only 17000 so they are obviously starting to get the message.
17,632 to be precise - you know how certain people get about facts and stats! Notwithstanding that, only 17,632??? - but, but, but - I thought they were the best fans in the world?
