I deliberately ignored Vince on the subject in case it started another war on here over Malky........ To be fair to Slade, he probably did the job for Vince that he was brought in to do at the time.
True, but it ain't what you do, it's that way that you do it. Not worked for him since. Going down faster than Linda Lovelace on a 12 incher!!!! So I'm told.
We did score 4 though! Burton parked the bus, Derby dominated (according to the BBC) but couldn't find the finish. Thankfully we're past the bus parking stage and our win at Leeds meant we could have a proper go.
Away from home I'll take 3-3/3-4 and even 4/3 over 0-0 bus parking every time. It was the best thing about the DJ years. Win 3-0 lose 3-0. Go 2-0 up lose or win 3-2 that's worth watching. 11 men parking a bus trying to hold out for 0-0/1-0 is ok to get out of trouble but it's hardly the the most entertaining form of the game we all love
Surprisingly enough, I tend to agree with you. Playing agent provocateur on here is just what I enjoy when you don't get those you chat to all nasty and upset......
It's worrying that 3 managers on and were still clearing up the mess of a year in the premier league. Hope we don't get promoted again any time soon.
Just had a look at the goals in the Brizzle Fulham game last night. Brizzle look pathetic and are definately doomed. If they didnt have Abraham from Chelsea they would be below Rotherham. Personally i would like to see them survive, but that is doubtful. When they do drop thats and easy 6 points gone for next year.
Rotherham and Wigan looked doomed. I reckon 52 points guarantee safety. Who will fail? Surely ourselves QPR Brum Villa and Ipswich will get over the line. Wolves , Forest , Blackburn , Bristol City , Burton.? Couple of good results for the Wurzels and Abraham is back. I think this is going to the last day.
Rotherham are dead and buried but despite that reverse by the Wurzels on the weekend, I don't think it's all over for Wigan. I said earlier in the thread that Blackburn have far better squad than their table position suggests and I reckon Mowbray will pull them clear. Burton are battlers, Wolves have looked pretty useful to me this season on times and the rest above them should have enough in the tank to stay clear. I think nearly all of them still have to play Brighton and some massive games between each other coming up that should decide it. It's got to be between Wigan, the Wurzels and Forest for the other 2 spots to join Rotherham in League One next season. I'll stick with a Rotherham/Forest/Wurzel trio for the trap door.
I was going to say Rowett could do a job to help save Forest but it now looks like he will go to Derby to replace McLaren. I agree with Sparks on Rotherham and Forest but if Abraham can start scoring again for the Wurzels they could still survive despite Johnson's ineptitude. That being the case it could well be Wigan for the trap door.
Wigan dont score enough goals. So much for that stupid Will Grigg song. They are going to need 15-17 points - not going to happen.
Well they'll probably get 3 of them from us. Just looked at their fixtures - they still have to go away to Newcastle and Brighton as well as having to play Reading and Leeds. I tend to agree with you.
1 from 4 I reckon. Wigan though may have a new manager bounce. Massive 3 points for the wurzels v Wigan, so they have given themselves a chance. Burton continue to collect points. Forest look vulnerable but beat Brighton 3-0 recently. Wolves also look shaky but have games in hand. BÅ‚ackburn have improved under Mowbray. Both of them play tonight.
That point away for Blackburn at Fulham last night was a great result for them and Wolves getting all 3 away from home at Brentford could help see both of them out of the ****. Mowbray and Lambert have too much experience at this level for Lee Johnson at the Wurzels and those results last night could go a long way toward sending them down. Whatever, I think both Blackburn and Wolves will be OK. It all depends whether Warburton can galvanise Forest over the next few games to save their necks, otherwise it will be any two from them, Wurzels and managerless Wigan to join Rotherham in League One.
OS, the return of Abraham to the wurzels team might be a major factor for them. They are up against your dark horses on Friday night on Sky. Might be worth a viewing. Forest v Derby with the 2 new managers also looks like one worth watching except that it's not being televised. Leeds yawn yawn again. ps when were we last on Sky?
Our game at Forest back end of last October - the full list is below and and the upcoming ones for the next month. Looks like they don't like us. We've featured 3 times so far - Newcastle have been on 13 times. http://www.efl.com/global/tvgames.aspx
