Klipperty is an eccentric, thats for sure, but he is a decent manager. Problem Liverpool have is their sell to buy policy. Are FSG actually going to invest some money in the club this summer? Liverpools track record with signings is quite ****e aswell. A lot of duds in the last decade. Their player turnover rate since Rafa first arrived has been dreaful.
Yeah possibly mate, though in recent seasons I think teams have been bringing their A game to us anyway due to the fact we've become a really good side under Poch. The problem this time around though is that we're on a pitch that we've evidently struggled on for years and it's also a nightmare to generate a good atmosphere, so trying to cheer the lads on won't be easy. I'm ****ing dreading it to be honest but gotta try and keep the faith and all that.
I'd like to be totally honest and say 1st, but you guys would probably #bully me. I'm going for 2nd in that case. I expect all of our signings this window to be world class, and Klopp is now ready to take these stars to the next level.
Actually think it's very hard to call this year for a lot of teams. I'd expect last years top 7 to make up the top 7 again in some order or another but seeing as there was only 6 points between 8th and 17th it's almost impossible to say with any certainty what sort of year those teams will have. I'd even say that for over half of those clubs then a good Summer could have them challenging the top 7 while a bad one could put them in a dog fight. Fine margins. I'd include us in that too. And even amongst that top 7 there's a few that are hard to predict. I expect the Manc clubs and Chelsea will make up the top 3 but it will be interesting to see how Pool and Everton cope with Europe and Spurs with the unfamiliar Wembley. Really can't decide at the moment if Arsenal will bounce right back or stagnate further either.
They won't win the title next season because of Europa league, Playing Thursday-Sunday is a slog, Trust me, I should know that with Manchester United were in it last season.
That and the fact that less than half of their players are at the level needed to win the league, plus they are likely to lose at least one of their star players this summer, plus their manager hasn't got a ****ing clue, plus their fanbase is pretty pissed off that they are not being heeded and will turn on the manager as soon as they lose a couple of games.
Problem with the Europa is Thursday night in Azerbaijan, or some such arse end of 'Europe'. Then the journey back and a game to play who knows where on Sunday.
