I'm sure John will be able to shed some light on this, but what are the prospects for the younger lads in the squad? JtH has done one along with a few other kids.

Max Clark - Finally his season? Had a decent spell at Cambridge, they like him and must have proved his worth in the professional leagues, but I can see him going there on loan and then permanently at the end of next season. Seems like a wasted opportunity.

Josh Tymon - Still listed as a scholar, big part to play next season.

Jarrod Bowen - First team, easy.

Greg Luer - Odd one, hasn't seen enough game time recently and he's getting to the age where he really needs it week in, week out. Fringe striker maybe?

Harvey Rodgers - Impressed at Accrington Stanley, worth a go as cover this season I reckon, just signed a new deal.

Jonny Edwards - Not really impressed at Accrington, but showed glimpses of quality in the U23s and has been offered a new deal. Another loan.

Greg Olley - I like him, looks solid and like he can make something happen, be interesting to see where he ends up, if not happy to have him as a youngster in the squad.

Adam Curry - Another I thought would be shipped out, prospects are bright but he's going to need a loan to get a taste of first team football.

Will Mannion - Been in and around the first team squad, happy for him to serve as back up/3rd choice. Hopefully a cup game in EFL cup round 1 beckons.

Ellis Barkworth - Gotta be a loan, not ready.

Brian Lenihan - First team, back up to Dave.

Josh Clackstone - Did well at Notts County, last year of his deal, now or never. Another loan probably.

Robbie McKenzie - Always thought he looked useful, handy midfielder, same as above really.

Will Annan - Really needs a loan to kick start what looks like a promising career ahead.

Dan Batty - Made the bench under Silva so must have something about him, hopefully he can go for it this season, maybe an EFL cup appearance.

Tyler Hamilton - U23s again, not sure what to make of him really, blows hot and cold.

Ben Hinchcliffe - Loan or bust really.

A lot of the above have deals running out at the end of next season, be very interesting to see where they end up.

I think Lenihan's a decent shout for the first team.

I think Tymon will be gone.

Bowen's likely to see some first team action.

The others really need to get first team experience elsewhere.

He'll be back for next season. He's already completed Phase 3 of rehab. He'll be running and training by the start of pre season.

Sadly, that's not true, his knee's gone again, could miss most (if not all) of next season.

Got to be the unluckiest player in football at the moment.

Unless you count Brian Lenihan. Why do our RB's get so injured?

Mark Lynch cursed the dressing room. This made no difference as Alton Thelwell had already done so.

Josh will only go if it's right for his family. I think (without any inside knowledge) we might have another season with him.

When I've seen Batty play he's looked good. Busy tenacious midfielder. Would like to see him either getting EFL games or a loan to League 1/2.

Max Clark is a strange one, he was a regular last season with Cambridge, but noticed towards the end of the season he was not regular, and was even not on the bench some games. Didn't seem to be injured, so whether he has a future there it remains to be seen. Probably Div 2 or possibly 1 for the future.

Tymon: I think like OLM says he will go.

Bowen: Will have first team chance next season.

Luer: He really needs to step up this season, personally I think he will be released after the end of the coming season.

Rodgers: Has future, did well at A. Stanley could be a bench player in the first team.

Edwards: Quite like him, holds the ball up well, and seems to know where the goal is, though not sure whether he will reach Championship standard.

Olley: Also like him, has first team possibilities.

Curry: Really like him, he has been plagued with injury the last season, but what I have seen of him has first team future. Him and Rodgers look a good pairing at the back.

Barkworth: Don't think he is good enough, steady player but limited.

Brian Lenihan - First team, back up to Dave.

Josh Clackstone - Has first team possibility, needs another loan move probably..

Robbie McKenzie - Like him, time to loan him out for league experience.

Will Annan - Another who I like, needs a loan out for league experience..

Dan Batty - Like him a lot, industrious and likes to get on the ball, has first team possibilites.

Tyler Hamilton - Same as you has talent, but in and out with his performances..

Ben Hinchcliffe - Works hard, but not good enough.

2 not mentioned who I think can step up in the future are Fleming and Ritson.

Why do you think Tymon will go. He is clearly not ready for Premier League football. The sensible option would be to allow Robertson to go keeping Tymon.

Tymons only asset is his age currently as Premier League teams buy on this basis through fear of missing out.

There is clearly talent there, but how much depends on him getting game time

We've ****ed up his new contract, kept him on a scholarship deal and there's other (premier League) clubs who want him and can now get him for a small compensation fee.
